On Your Day of Arrival
You’ve Reached Your Destination…
Whether you’re on a romantic retreat or a family getaway, The Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa is always comfortable and relaxing. We offer you 500’ of private beach and breathtaking lake views from every room. With these amenities, we are not your typical South Lake Tahoe hotel. Welcome, you have arrived.
Walk on the Lake…
After you’ve checked into your room you can take a long walk on the beach and
explore some of Lake Tahoe’s beautiful beaches and scenic lake views.
Meal with a View…
On your walk back to your room, stop by one of our staff’s favorite restaurants, just 200 yards down the beach from us. The Boathouse on the Pier is located on the
longest pier in Lake Tahoe. Whether you sit indoors or outdoors you can be assured of a fabulous view, to be enjoyed with an incredible food and drink selection.
Go For a Swim…
Once you have made it back to the hotel, enjoy a refreshing evening swim in the lake. If the water is to cold in the lake we have a heated pool and hot tub, both with
beautiful lake views. As you are returning to your room, don’t forget to stop by the guest lounge for a complimentary cup of hot cocoa or coffee.
First Full Day
Start your day off right…
Take a short ½ mile drive to Rude Brothers Bagels. One of our favorite breakfast spots in town. Enjoy fantastic coffee and fresh baked bagels before you take off for the day’s adventures.
Bike Ride to Camp Richardson…
There’s no wonder why bike riding is the most popular sport in Lake Tahoe with what seems to be an endless amount of bike trails in the Lake Tahoe Basin. A casual bike ride to camp Richardson almost seems necessary. You can rent your bikes at
Andersons Bicycles, located a short 4 mile drive away on Emerald Bay rd. After
getting your bikes, leave your car behind and begin your scenic bike ride along a paved trail to Camp Richardson. There are museums in camp Richardson and Valhalla, public beaches and a fish viewing area at Taylor Creek. Also, try the delicious handmade ice cream at Camp Richardson’s Ice Cream Parlor or get lunch at The Beacon Bar and Grill before you head back into town.
Dinner cruise on the lake…
Cruise around beautiful Lake Tahoe as you enjoy wonderful dining, accompanied by exceptional views. Imagine an evening spent on the lake at sunset, listening to
soothing music, sipping on your favorite drink while savoring a delicious meal.

South Lake Tahoe’s casino district is located at Stateline, just 1 mile from the lodge. Nightclubs, bars, comedy shows, live music and gambling are available at 4 major casinos and many restaurants every night of the week.
Second full Day
Start your day with a great breakfast from our Staff Favorite selections.
One of South Lake Tahoe’s best breakfast stops is Ernie’s coffee shop. Just take a left at the Y and it is on the left just a couple of blocks.
Inspiration point is on the right just as you enter Emerald Bay take the walk along the rim and see the plaques that tell about the history of the Vikingsholm Castle and Emerald Bay.
Drive around to the other side of Emerald Bay and park at the Vikingsholm parking lot from there you can take a path to Eagle Falls and walk around the top of the falls.
After that you can take the trail down from the parking lot to the Vikingsholm where you can tour the castle and hang out on the beach. They have Kayak and Paddle board rentals. Paddle to Fannett Island and imagine how resident,Mrs. Knight, felt back in the early nineteen hundreds when her staff would row her out there for afternoon tea.
Save some energy because it is a good hike back to the parking lot.

If you’re in the mood for BBQ, a stop at Sonny’s Barbeque for food and drink is a must.
Stop for Ice Cream at Sno-flake Drive-in.
